BIOREPOSITORY

The CRL biorepository is made up of
various temperature ranged freezers.

All freezes are monitored 24 hourly by
electronically monitoring systems. Staff are notified via SMS should there be
an interruption in power supply.

CRL’s electronic temperature monitoring
and storage of samples includes (-800C,
Liquid Nitrogen, 2-80C, -20oC ).
There is always a backup freezer in the lab.

LDMS manages all freezers electronically,
this system enables us to track exact positions and details of every specimen
in the biorepository. Location and retrieval of samples takes less than 2min.

CRL has a back up supply of power to all
our freezers and fridges in case of an emergency.
