LABORATORY DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

  Lab Data Management Systems (LDMS) is a web based laboratory information management system for managing collection, storage and shipment of biological specimens. There is no downtime and the data is secured.
• ➢
  CRL uses LDMS to manage patient lab and sample data.
• ➢
  LDMS manages our laboratory information by providing us with control and organizational schemes for dating and organizing all samples, from collection time to processing time to freezing time including aliquot volumes in storage. It enables us to electronically store samples with cryogenic labels in (-800C, Liquid Nitrogen, 2-80C, -20oC) and ship samples providing researchers with electronic detail on every specimen stored.

  Sample data still remains accessible to CRL staff even after samples have been shipped, equipping us always with a record or history.
• ➢
  We use it to manage and maintain all of our research projects.
